Peace Bee Farm Blog
Please check out Richard Underhill's beekeeping blog. He's describing the succession of bee plants down south in Arkansas where it's warmer and their growing season is slightly ahead of us. In his latest post he talks about the importance of having organic corridors of native plants around farms and he took a lovely photo of a carpenter bee.
Another blog post I recommend today is over at Anna's Bee World. Did you realize male bees have beards? It's true! I checked out a dude mason bee sunning himself on our back wall and he had a fuzzy wee beard. I kid you not! Only on retrospect I think it looks more like a moustache.
