Our dear friends have set up a homestead in Surrey and they invited us out for a salmon barbecue a couple of weeks ago. We hopped on the bus, then the skytrain, then they came and picked us up in their truck. They've inherited a cool backyard with several small raised beds.
Sandra made us a freshly picked spinach salad.
We sat under an arbor filled with kiwi blossoms.
The dude cooked us up some lovely fish and Polish sausages from the neighbors.
This is what summer looks like in the burbs!
All hail to the lawn mower deity.
And for those who love doggies, this is one of the two blue heelers they rescued after Laika passed away, may she requiem in pace.
