Yes, the wasps are starting to seek human food just as we reach the heart of the season to eat outdoors. Yesterday we set up to eat dinner in our own rustic backyard rather than the glamorous backyards of others. I made a curried potato salad with mayonnaise, yogurt, mustard seed, Hawaiian salt and Vij's garam masala powder in the dressing. I killed the fatted onion in my raised bed, and added salad burnett and curry plant leaves from the herb bed. I also made a green salad with a Dijon vinaigrette and cooked up some tandoori chicken. For dessert, our wee guest made a fantastic strawberry pie which we ate with lashings of organic whipped cream. We had a dry blush with dinner and a sweet blush for dessert. Santé!
